Senior AI Engineer
XeroQ is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to be the technical voice in early client conversations. This role exists because the people who understand the technology deeply need to be in the room: you will represent XeroQ's products accurately to prospective clients, understand what those clients actually need, and lead the discussion that connects the two.
This is a remote position. Hours are aligned to US Eastern Time business hours, and the role is available on a part-time or full-time basis.
What you will do
- Build a working knowledge of XeroQ's products and technical approach so you can speak to them accurately in client conversations.
- Research each prospective client's technical environment and use cases before any meeting.
- Plan and structure pre-sales discussions to surface the right questions and frame XeroQ's capabilities against the client's actual problems.
- Lead the technical portion of client meetings, fielding questions and working through objections in real time.
- Collect feedback from each engagement and bring it back internally to sharpen future conversations and inform product direction.
What we look for
- At least five years of professional experience building and deploying machine learning or AI systems, with shipped production work you can point to.
- Demonstrable experience across fine-tuning large language models, training neural networks, building RAG pipelines, and agentic AI systems.
- The ability to write production-quality code in Python and JavaScript.
- Enough comfort with client-facing communication to lead a technical discussion without a script — prior pre-sales or customer-facing experience is a plus, but the baseline is that you can hold the room.
Nice to have
- Experience mentoring other engineers or leading a small technical workstream.
- Prior work in a pre-sales, solutions engineering, or client-facing technical role.
